DC ReignThe DC Reign football team has made a decision to leave the American Pro FootballLeague 2 (APFL2) due to some inappropriate behavior by the league management which violates the fundamentals of their organization. With this move they have decided to independent.

The Reign are communicating with several teams in the state and region to host some very exiting games. The game which was to occur tomorrow between the Denco Rattlers and the Reign has been rescheduled for Saturday July 21st at 7:00 p.m. at Shea Stadium, 3270 Redstone Park Cir, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129 . 

Instead of a game tomorrow they are playing a helmet to helmet scrimmage with the Rattlers at the Montebello Recreation Center . The team and I would like to invite everyone to come out to the scrimmage and meet the teams.

Rapid City RoughridersThe Rapid City Roughriders rallied from an 18-0 deficit in the 1st quarter to top the visiting DC Reign in their first league game.

The 'Riders would claw their way back in the first tying the game at 24-24 before the Reign returned the ensuring kickoff for a touchdown and converted its 2-point try.

Rapid City appeared to be knocking on the doorstep when the ball was fumbled going in for the score.  Yet on the Reign's next possession they turned the ball back over on a fumble of their own.

Rapid City scored with no time left on the clock but failed its 2-point try resulting in DC taking a 32-30 lead at the half.
