Home NCAA Football Week 2 ACC Predictions

Week 2 ACC PredictionsHere we go ACC fans for another week of competition.  Things are definitely heating up some with two games pitting Top 25 teams against each other and the first conference match-up.

We're putting our 10-2 record on the line, hoping to score our first perfect weekend ever.  Look out, because there may be a few upsets on the horizon.

Saturday, September 11th

Duke (1-0) @ Wake Forest (1-0) -- Wake Forest wins 31-26

#15 Georgia Tech (1-0) @ Kansas (0-1) -- Georgia Tech wins 34-12

James Madison (1-0) @ #13 Virginia Tech (0-1) -- Virginia Tech wins 38-9

Kent State (1-0) @ Boston College (1-0) -- Boston College wins 32-19

Presbyterian (0-1) @ Clemson (1-0) -- Clemson wins 38-10

#17 Florida State (1-0) @ #10 Oklahoma (1-0) -- Florida State wins 26-22

#12 Miami (1-0) @ #2 Ohio State (1-0) -- Ohio State wins 29-21

Morgan State (1-0) @ Maryland (1-0) -- Maryland wins 21-14

North Carolina State (1-0) @ Central Florida (1-0) -- NC State wins 24-14

Virginia (1-0) @ #16 USC (1-0) -- USC wins 42-27

So there you have it, folks.  I know I'm partial to FSU and there will probably be some flack about picking them to win IN Norman, against the team with the nation's current longest home winning streak (31 games).  But they have to lose sometime.  Might as well be on Saturday.

As for Miami in the Shoe?  I think the Canes are legit contenders for the Coastal Division title and to play against FSU for the ACC Championship, but I don't think they're ready to play against a stout D like the one in Columbus.  But that's why they play they game, to prove people like me wrong.  It would be a stellar win for the conference, and one I would gladly lose a pick over.  I just don't see it happening.

We'll see you back here on Monday to see how things panned out.  Have a great weekend!
