Home NCAA Football Week 1 ACC Predictions

ACC Football PredictionsWe're continuing our tradition of weekly ACC football predictions heading into the 2010 season.

While we do plan on moving back to a video-based prediction format, our office is under renovation and currently unavailable.  But that will hopefully change in the coming weeks.

So let's get things started for the 2010 campaign in the ACC:

Thursday, September 2nd
Presbyterian @ Wake Forest (Wake Forest wins 31-17)
Florida A&M @ Miami (Miami wins 42-19)

Saturday, September 4th
Samford @ Florida State (Florida State wins 35-17)
Weber State @ Boston College (BC wins 34-11)
South Carolina State @ Georgia Tech (GT wins 39-13)
North Texas @ Clemson (Clemson wins 27-12)
Western Carolina @ NC State (NC State wins 24-15)
Richmond @ Virginia (Virginia wins 26-21)
Elon @ Duke (Duke wins 24-21)
LSU @ North Carolina (LSU wins 21-17)

Monday, September 6th
Navy @ Maryland (Navy wins 31-27)
Boise State @ Virginia Tech (Virginia Tech wins 42-40)

After the first weekend of play I'm predicting the ACC will post a 10-2 record, with losses coming against LSU and Navy.  Until Maryland can prove to me its rebounded from its disastrous 2-10 season last year I'll be picking against the Terps every time.  As for the Tar Heels, they have their own problems going on with NCAA investigations and penalties they'll be facing.  To start the season off against a tough LSU team, even if it is in their own house, will be a tough test.  Their defense will keep the game close but I don't see them pulling off a victory.

Let the 2010 season begin.  It couldn't come fast enough!!
