Week 1 ACC Predictions

We're continuing our tradition of weekly ACC football predictions heading into the 2010 season.

While we do plan on moving back to a video-based prediction format, our office is under renovation and currently unavailable. But that will hopefully change in the coming weeks.

So let's get things started for the 2010 campaign in the ACC:

Preseason Coaches Poll Released

NCAA Football The votes are in and the Preseason 2010 USA Today Coaches Poll is now in the books.

Defending National Champion Alabama claims the top spot with 55 votes while Ohio State claimed the other 4 1st-place votes to come in at #2. Florida, Texas, and Boise State round out the Top 5 this year.

The Virginia Tech Hokies, picked by the media to win the Coastal Division and the ACC Title comes in at #6 with the former Mountain West Conference favorite TCU close behind at #7. Oklahoma leads the way for the (once) Big 12 at #8 and Big Ten newcomer Nebraska starts out at #9. Fellow Big Ten member Iowa rounds out the Top 10.

CSU Names Scholarship After McGregor

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Colorado State is honoring former tight end and Colorado Rockies President Keli McGregor with a memorial scholarship and an award.

McGregor died unexpectedly April 20.
