From Seminoles.com:
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - After winning three straight games in the NCAA Norwich Regional, Florida State advanced to the Super Regionals for the third year in a row and for the 10th time in school history. On Monday night, the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee announced that Florida State was selected as one of eight institutional hosts for this weekend's Super Regional play. Florida State (45-17) will welcome the Vanderbilt Commodores (45-18) to Tallahassee for a best-of-three game series beginning on Friday, June 11.

FSU will be back in the friendly confines of Dick Howser Stadium in an attempt to make another run at Omaha and the elusive CWS Title. Vandy comes in with a similar record and is used to playing elite competition, so they should not be taken lightly. Time will tell if these proven "road warriors" can get it done on their home turf or if their potential status as a dark horse ends this weekend. Look for superb pitching and stellar defense to lead the way, and the Noles making the most of their hits to win this series. I see this one going all three games, with FSU's lone loss coming on Saturday (but feel free to prove me wrong and sweep the series in 2-games). I'm looking forward to cheering FSU onto another CWS-birth.
