RAPID CITY --- Devastating penalties and untimely turnovers put the SD Mines football team behind the eight ball Saturday afternoon which Minot State was able to capitalize on as the Hardrockers fell to the MSU Beavers, 38-7, on Dunham Field at O'Harra Stadium in Rapid City.
Despite being able to move the ball up and down the field, the Hardrockers were unable to find the end zone until the fourth quarter when freshman running back Jeff Faulk powered his way in from two yards out. Senior Andy Smith provided the point after.
Minot State scored seven points in the first quarter, 21 in the second period, tacked on seven in the third and added a field goal in the final frame.
