The defending Kelly Cup Champ Colorado Eagles tallied five goals in the opening frame to shutdown the recent momentum of the Rapid City Rush en route to an 8-1 win Saturday night and a series sweep.
The Rapid City Rush held the lead heading into the 3rd period Friday night but the defending Kelly Cup Champ Colorado Eagles pulled away in an intense final period for the 4-2 victory.
Each teams' respective netminder held court between the pipes Wednesday night as it took extra time for the Colorado Eagles to squeeze out a 2-1 victory over the Rapid City Rush.
The Rapid City Rush and Utah Grizzlies continued their suspended game from Friday night. While the Grizzles started the 2nd period with a 3-1 advantage it was the Rush who celebrated a 7-5 decision Sunday afternoon and a weekend sweep.
